With your help, Kerrie can raise money needed to provide health care and hope to our neighbors in need.

Born and raised in the Lone Star State, Kerrie joined the KAGS news team in November 2016. As a self-proclaimed social butterfly, the Houston native will tell you she has never met a stranger. Kerrie has always had a passion for meeting new people and is blessed to be working in a field that allows her to share other people's stories.

Kerrie earned a degree in Multiplatform Journalism from Sam Houston State University in December 2015. While in college she was a member of two Division I track and field programs as a heptathlete. During her college career she served as president of her local chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists, as well as founded and served as president of her schools Spanish Conversation Club and Bailamos Latin Dance. Prior to joining KAGS, she served as a sports anchor/reporter and producer for Cable 7 Huntsville.

When she isn't trying to uncover the latest story, you can find Kerrie working out, playing sand volleyball or salsa dancing. As a former athlete she has a passion for all sports and is an advocate for healthy living. In addition to her outside craft, she is committed to supporting local non-profit organizations. Her passion for volunteering is so strong that she began her own non-profit organization in March of 2013 that specializes in promoting cultural awareness through the art of dance.

A MESSAGE FROM KERRIE:

Join me in supporting real change. Let's support good in the world and make a difference. Help us ensure a happier and healthy future for our community and for Health For All.

Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal!
