With your support, our neighbors can access basic health care and regain control of their health and their lives. Giving generously will help us change the story for so many in our community.

We all have a story… Health For All's patients each have a story that that led them to our clinic. Staff and volunteers have a story of why they were drawn to this work. Our donors have a story of why they provide financial support year after year. Even Health For All has a story of how we've evolved and changed over the years to meet the needs of uninsured men and women in the Brazos Valley.

Yes, everybody has a story.

Ruth's Story

Ruth Clearfield's friends will tell you that she was always smiling and completely accepting of people from all walks of life. Ruth was a "ball of fire," full of energy. "She was kind to the poorest of the poor and the wealthiest of the wealthy. It mattered not to her." Ruth was an amazing woman who devoted her time to various charitable organizations and efforts. She was a longtime partner and supporter of Health For All as a donor and a volunteer. Former President, George Bush said, "She's a true volunteer, a true point of light. She believes in helping others."

Health For All was a special passion for Ruth who was determined to provide medical care for those whose jobs didn't provide it for their employees.

They were waitresses, department store clerks, and fast-food workers. They cleaned office bathrooms and airplane cabins, cared for the elderly, and served hors d'oeuvres at high-end fund-raisers. Ruth saw each patient and understood there was a unique story behind each neighbor in need.

Ruth Clearfield passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family in October 2015.
